Some dogs want the party.
This guy? He wants his person and a cozy spot on the couch (don’t worry — he won’t jump up unless invited ).
This handsome 2 yr old. black & white poodle/shih tzu mix is Geoffery! He was found as a severely matted stray, but you’d never guess it now. He’s:
Potty trained, crate trained, great with dogs & cats and loves a good playtime. Did we mention he is a professional-level cuddler too??? He’s respectful in the house and happiest when he’s snuggled up close. Truly, if companionship were an Olympic sport, he’d take gold!
Now here’s the part where we advocate for him: Fast hands from strangers? Hard no. He gets nervous when unfamiliar people reach for him and will growl or snarl to say, “Please don’t.”
What he needs is simple:
Slow introductions
A calm home
No small children (We do feel he would love kids when he realized they were safe!!)
Someone who understands that trust is built, not grabbed. He doesn’t need everyone. He just needs his people. And once you’re in his circle? You’re in for life.

ATHENA
Meet the absolutely sweet Athena! She a 3-year old, 65 lb mixed breed we believe to be heeler/border collie, two super smart breeds. Athena is gorgeous inside and out! She is the sweetest girl who gives the best snuggles. Athena is very kind and gentle with the smaller dogs in her foster home, and has also done well with a dog her size. It is unknown how Athena would do with cats but does do well with kids.
Athena is a very smart girl who already knows “sit” and “shake”. She is a people pleaser and is capable of learning so much more with some basic training. She came from a home who loved her and spoiled her so she is looking for the same type of new home.
Athena is house broke, but does not appreciate being crated. She is up to
on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, heart worm neg and on monthly preventatives.
LUKE & LEVI
Meet the adorable Luke and Levi! They are male, 2-3 yr old, Shih Tzu's that were dumped by a breeder. These two are the sweetest guys and very playful!
They both are a bit skiddish but Luke is a bit less. Once he warms up to you, he becomes an attention hound! He loves playing with his brother, and even though he is the smaller of the two, he likes to think he's in charge! He is very protective and vocal about it! Luke recently had emergency surgery Christmas Eve to remove three bladder stones! He is fully recovered and doing well but will need to eat a special food.
Levi is the larger one and more skiddish than his brother. He is a bit more afraid of new people and will run and hide from loud noises. He ADORES pillows and once he trusts you he will try to sleep up next to your head! He needs patients as he is more the time taker when it comes to using the bathroom and other
activities. He knows his name and when called gives full attention!
Both Luke and Levi and smart and have learned to use the doggy door. They will need regular grooming so if you cannot have that done for them you need not apply. These boys were neglected and deserve a home that will give them the care and love they deserve. They are both neutered, current on all vaccinations, heart worm negative and microchipped. They must be adopted together as they are bonded an application to give them a forever home can be done on our website!
CHIP
This sweet sweet boy always looks like he just lost his best friend. Meet Chip! Chip is a 10 yr old overweight Chihuahua was that was adopted from us as a puppy. Now over 9 yrs later he is sadly back with us when his owners moved and didn't take him.
Chip is a chunky monkey but has lost a bit of weight. He STILL needs to lose more but we all know it isn't easy! Chip LOVES his food a bit too much and can get a bit aggressive during feeding so needs to be fed in his crate if he has fur-siblings.
Chip is not big on being picked up but loves to lay next to you. He is fine with other dogs, cats are unknown but I doubt he could catch one!A fenced in yard is needed as he lives to bask in the sun but will toodle off and never give a glance back!
Chip is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and Heartworm negative.

ARCHIE
This sweet boy is Archie. He is a 4 yr old Terrier mix who has been through it. Archie's mama passed away and his dad did not care for him. He was left basically to fend for himself outside. He worse a torn up sweater for a whole year, which caused a severe skin infection and he lost his hair. Unfortunately it does not appear that it will grow back but his skin is all healthy now and it doesn't change how precious this little guy is!
Archie is a chill guy who gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home. He has adjusted to living inside again, is house trained and crate trained although at times he will tell you he doesn't want to be in the crate. Archie LOVES to play with toys and curling up in his soft comfy bed.
Please don't let his hair loss detour you from giving this great little guy a forever home!

LORAX
Meet the adorable Lorax! He is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix of some sort and is approximately 2 yrs old. He came down with kennel cough in the shelter and showed signs of fear (who can blame him?) so he didn't make it to adoption. We broke him out and he stayed at the vet for a week getting all better and now is in a foster home doing beautifully!
Lorax has been great with other dogs and cats! He is a loveable guy who loves belly rubs, stays in a crate while his foster mom is at work and is even house trained!
